KINDERMUSIK and MUSIKGARTEN   offer movement and music education curricula involving a community of families and teachers passionately committed to bringing the joy and benefit music education to children's lives. 

Guided by a proven methodology combining music and childhood development research, these programs  spark magical, memorable learning for each and every child.  

 In class, your licensed educator leads a group of parents and their children through joyful activities, using music, movement and imagination. Parents learn more about their child's unique developmental process, and the shared learning experience creates a unique bond as the child associates learning with fun, musical play.

The learning process continues at home, guided by specially designed books, CDs, and manipulatives.

• Movement and dance activities improve coordination and balance.
• One-on-one parent and child interaction nurtures self-esteem.
• Music-making and music listening activities develop self-discipline, as well as critical and creative thinking skills.

If choosing between Kindermusik and MusikGarten, consider these points:

-The basic difference between Kindermusik and MusikGarten is the inclusion of a literature compenent in the Kindermusik curricula that isn't present in MusikGarten, as MusikGarten focuses strictly on the music.  MusikGarten recordings are often more 'traditional'.

-The Kindermusik semester runs for 14 weeks with 45 minute classes;  MusikGarten  runs for 12 weeks with 40 minute classes, with the exception of special 'camp' programs.

Both the Tot Spot's music programs, for children birth through 5 years, introduce your child to the adventure of music, nurturing his gifts and celebrating discoveries.  Classes give you and your child the time and tools to bring the power of music into your life at home and into his life forever.
